The Court is a keen promoter and supporter of the efforts undertaken by the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law in the development of the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules.
The UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules have played an essential role in standardizing arbitration rules within member states, and as such, has become a leading standard referred to in many arbitration proceedings.
When specific modules or Court procedures do not meet the requirements of administration particular dispute resolutions, the Court may at times opt to administer a dispute in line with the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules where the parties have entrusted the Court with such discretion.
